They need to have AOC or Elizabeth Warren or some of the other Congress women who are outspoken give these. Schumer spoke against Biden for re-election. He isn’t any better at getting the message across. Maybe it is time for him to step down.

This was absolutely my first thought. In my mind, I saw her snatching the mic and pushing him aside where she would commence absolutely mopping the floor with this nonsense.

But I guess we can't have *that. 😒

Was that my senator Klobuchar on Schumer's right?

When Nancy Pelosi hobbled out with the sole purpose of preventing AOC from assuming a leadership position (in place of the older white man who was next in line, who had "earned" it) and then hobbled back to...? I knew we were sunk. I think that moment held more significance than we realize.

She richly had the gall to push President Biden, a true fighter, while expounding same old tactics and out of touch elitism. She along with all the Obama disciples and the Clooney donors are a cancer to the Democratic Party.

Is there a possibility of starting a news channel that has people like you and Jim Acosta? It could be a YouTube channel? I don’t have any social media any longer and the news media is disappointing but I would like to see and hear the news.

Jasmine Crockett and AOC. We need energy and intelligence.

Some Dems spoke out to a certain degree. AOC, Bernie Sanders and Jasmine Crockett have been working their tails off. The governor of Kentucky made a video about the Medicaid system being unaccessible. Where the collective Democratic Party is, that remains to be seen. I do remember they’re electing a new chair soon. Maybe they’re waiting for a change in leadership? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree with you. Besides pathetic, out-of-touch leadership the thing that gets in the way now--for me and I'm sure lots of other Democrats--is that we're beyond emotionally exhausted/bitter. That's why every time I see an upset person losing their benefits I wonder 'did they vote for this?' Because our government is now an active domestic terrorist organization and I refuse to feel sorry for those who did. We don't/can't know WHO did, so we're supposed to care about everyone...because we're Democrats. But my conscience won't allow me to do that. This results in a mental whirlpool effect, with rage and sadness and self-pity all swirling around my mind, which exhausts me even further. If we had better leadership I might have some hope, which would mitigate against those feelings.

I completely agree! Schumer needs to step down! No dem should be voting for Dump's nominees. There are plenty of young Dem stars who can do the job 1000x better!

This is great. All of this substack stuff is preaching to the converted. Who is talking to the people who voted for Trump. A lot are low info voters. Others are in the right wing news bubble of Fox, Rogan, etc. They aren’t easy to convince because many work off of emotion more than reason. Trump connects with them because he communicates with emotions and images… not rational explanations. Someonne needs to figure this out.

Good idea… but I’m not on other social media. I’ll pass it on.

One way is to constantly re-post people's messages, like this woman's, and other visceral reactions, on social media, like Keith did here, on the media that attracts non-liberals too - TikTok, FB Reels, Bluesky, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Pinterest, YouTube, Reddit, WeChat, Telegram, etc. Any platform that reaches millions.

What is wrong with our democratic leadership? They seem to be unable to learn anything. No one will see this video. No one. But they will see the right wingers crowing about the greatness of all of this. I’m so disgusted.

Th D Democrats JUST DONT LISTEN or adapt. You are correct as the Dems are STILL using the same old tired media communication techniques from 40 years ago. Where are the videos of people affected? This is a war for emotional connection...and Dems turn this into a dry technocratic thesis which fails to engender outrage. I'm done.

AGREE! So sick of older Dems just huffing and puffing and stomping their feet. Get rid of them. We need ACTION and younger loyalists to stand up with fists up and beat them at their own game!

I agree 100% and asked myself, Where the hell is the outrage? Democrats never meet the moment with the appropriate emotions. It's so fricken sad they are also so composed and proper. Get AOC, Jasmine Crockett bring some fire. I was ready to stick a needle in my eye listening to my representative Patty Murray.

Democrats haven’t learned a thing. New, true leadership is not coming from the Capitol Hill Retirement Home but should rise organically from all over the nation. I can’t blame voters for being entirely fed up with decrepit “leaders” who neither lead nor get out of the way
