Never would have guessed it's only been a year. Wow! I had to take about 3 weeks off after the election. Still disappointed, blah. I like your plans, will be awesome. Will need your reports and insights, all you do, next year. Happy New Year, Keith, all the best ever!

Keith,

Thanks for sharing your personal information here and on your recent YouTube channel. It confirms my decision to support you in your career as a paid subscriber on Substack, and I think it's important that others do too. It is to your credit, and that of others, that you are willing to stand up for liberal, democratic ideals in these times. But our times are not unique.

I'm old enough to be your father (71) and was born in San Francisco in what was then known as a "Blue Dog" Democratic family.

My maternal uncle was Mayor of San Francisco in 1968 and gave the nominating speech at the Democratic Convention. He was on the short list to be Humphrey's VP, though he didn't then have the national recognition for the ticket. He was also one of Nixon's first smear targets knowing that he was a rising star in the Democratic party, and in 1969 an article was published in Look Magazine that allegedly tied him to the Mafia. A libel suit followed and eventually he prevailed, overcoming the high burden of the NY Times v. Sullivan Supreme Court decision. Look Magazine was put out of business, but the damage was done and a promising political career was ended.

And here's the kicker: the author of that 1969 Look Magazine article was Dick Carlson, Tucker Carlson's father.

Keep up the good work, God knows we need it now more than ever.
